Cota Ann Pulley Erwin, 92, of Roanoke Rapids, died Tuesday, March 12, 2013 at Halifax Regional Medical Center.

Mrs. Erwin was a native of Brunswick County, VA, the daughter of the late Mark Prince Pulley and Elizabeth Jones Pulley. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Crawford Sykes Erwin, and two grandsons, Kerry A. Hux and Reagan R. Hux. Mrs. Erwin was retired from J. P. Stevens.

She is survived by four daughters, Benisha Erwin Clary, Faye Erwin Hux and her husband, Robert, Iris Erwin Faucett, all of Roanoke Rapids, and Gail Erwin Thompson of Richmond, VA; eight grandchildren, Karen Butler, Sharon Deaton, Stewart Hux, Curt Hux, Ricky Faucett, Terry Crumb, Kathryn Amatrudo, and Allison Thompson; sixteen great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; her sister, Fannie Collins of Petersburg, VA; and her brother, William Mark Pulley, of Snow Camp, NC.

Askew Funeral & Cremation Services in Roanoke Rapids is handling the arrangements, where the family will receive friends on Saturday, March 16, at 10 a.m. until 10:45. Graveside services will follow at 11 a.m. at Cedarwood Cemetery in Roanoke Rapids with Rev. Randy Martin officiating.
